Ingredients
Carrots 3-4 diced
Red chillies 3 broken
Curry leaves a few
Asafoetida a pinch
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut 1 tbsp
Sugar 1/2 tsp or to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a kadai. Once hot, add the mustard seeds, urad dal, red chillies, curry leaves, asafoetida.
- Once done, add the carrots, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
- Cook covered, sprinking water once a few mins for it to get cooked till soft but still firm.
- Sprinkle grated coconut and sugar and mix well.
